about me
Sada Natural Skin Care (Sada meaning ‘Pure One’ in Japanese) has come about after 20 years of searching for skin care products that could be used on sensitive skin.
Living with eczema since I was a baby, in my 20’s I decided to work out what was causing it. At 23 with my face completely covered in a red rash apart from white panda eyes, I visited a dermatologist and I was told I would have to wait 6 weeks for an appointment, feeling a little patronised because the receptionist hadn’t looked at me once I asked her to look at my face, I was the next patient in to see the doctor. After a battery of testing I was told I was allergic to everything (foods, drinks, dust, metal, plastic, rubber and the list goes on and on and on) I left the office with a pile of cards explaining each item and how to avoid it, needless to say I felt like I had just wasted my money.
At 23 I wasn’t ready to move into a hermetically sealed bubble and frankly I didn’t believe what I had just been told, so I visited the book shop found a book that talked about eliminating problem foods and decided to try it. I lived off watermelon for the first week then introduced one new food every couple of days and waited for a reaction, four weeks later tomato, orange, pineapple, food colouring and preservative.
Now the hard part, avoiding food colouring and preservatives in today’s world. Food is easy to control you just prepare it yourself from raw. Skin care not so, so I decided to take the same approach, make it myself from raw.
Under the name Sada Natural Skin Care I have produced a range of natural skin care products for every day use and I have used only the purest and the highest quality ingredients. I know from first hand experience that what you put on your skin is as important as what you put in your body.
Every product in the Sada natural skin care range is produced in small batches, to ensure freshness and quality. The oils contain no chemical solvents and are all cold pressed naturally, to keep the nutrients active.

about our water
In understanding more about what was ‘irritating’ my skin and knowing that working from the inside out is an important factor in skin care. I was recommended Alkaline Water also known as “Kangen Water”.
In learning about Alkaline water I discovered: “Acid water with a ph of 5.5 – 6.5 (also known as Beauty Water) is used by the Japanese for enhancing the health of one’s skin and can be used in place of lotion. It tones and firms the skin while performing as an astringent. It is a natural beauty product.”
"pH" is a chemist's term meaning "Potential of Hydrogen" and is used to measure the degree of acidity or alkalinity in the outer layers of the skin. A pH of 7.00 is neutral, a pH greater than 7.00 is alkaline and a pH below 7.00 is acidic. Your skin's natural pH balance, between 5.5 and 6.5, is slightly acidic while the pH of most of Earth's water is above 7.00, making it slightly alkaline and incompatible with the pH of human skin.
Human skin is acidic because of the acid-mantle protection barrier, which protects the skin from harmful substances, including bacteria. The skin's pH between 5.5 and 6 needs to be preserved and not stripped with harsh dehydrating products alkalinity dries the skin and bacteria thrive in alkalinity.
All the water used in my products has a “ph” of 5.5 – 6.5 helping to keep the skin in its natural balance.
Kangen Translated
Kangen is a Japanese word best translated into English as "return to origin", which means several things when used to describe water.
First, it describes water returned to the state in which water was often found in nature before the earth became polluted.
Second, it implies that it will help to return your body to its original condition when you were young - including all of the organs and skin.
